Remove the screw partially securing the PMU in place.

Pry up the round end of the small metal spring using either your fingers or a small screwdriver.

Pry up the other end of the spring, and pull it down towards you.

Remove the keyboard locking mechanism.

Flip up the PMU, and disconnect the PRAM battery connector from it.

Insert a flat blade underneath the PRAM battery, apply sufficient pressure with the index finger, and remove it. Note that this is an optional step.

Carefully disconnect the cables connecting to the PMU using preferably just your fingers, or possible a flat edge for the bigger connections.

The PMU can now be removed.
