| Carefully pry the housing apart using a sharp edge. Take care not to damage the back surface of the display by gouging away the white paint. |

| Remove these two screws holding the hinge support in place. |
| Slide the hinge support away. Note that the right hinge is broken in this image. |
| Carefully remove the two plastic caps so that they do not get lost. |
| Remove this screw and the one on the other side. |
| There are another two screws to remove (one on each side). You may have to push aside the Airport antenna to get to them, |
| Remove all of the tape holding the display shield in place. |
| Lift up the display shield, taking care that the big silver adhesive strip does not significantly pull up on the display cable. |
